(Plano, TX) Nascent Systems, a leading software evaluation and implementation services, announced the success of its latest Oracle E-Business Suite implementation for Danco. Danco a division of Dallas-based chemical company NCH Corporation is a global distributor of plumbing supplies for retailers such as Lowes, Home Depot and Ace Hardware.
The project, which included applications to improve operations in the areas of supply chain management, procurement, accounting, reporting and distribution, was completed utilized applications from the Oracle E-Business Suite.
As part of the scope, Danco management elected to create a custom front end to the Oracle applications that not only reduced training throughout the user community, but will also allow the applications to be more adaptable to changes in their business model. This effort was completed through the use of Service Oriented Architecture that leverages standard interfaces within the Oracle framework.
Over the past three years, Nascent Systems has participated in a number of successful projects to NCH that include the implementations of Vertex for sales tax, Oracle HR/Payroll and Oracle CRM.
“We are proud to have been a part of another successful project within the NCH family of companies,” said Nascent Systems Principle, Stuart Massey. “The leadership within Danco and NCH has consistently made decisions to utilize technology as a means to improve efficiencies and grow their business.”
Expected benefits to the project will include both a reduction in cost from moving from a client server environment to a web-based system, to improved purchasing controls and better decision making through enhanced reporting.
